Today, with Iran seeking to maintain not only the survival of Afghanistan's friendly regime, but also that of Iraq's fellow Shia government, there are ample reasons to reevaluate our perceptions of Iran on the basis of interests, rather than on a narrow count of isotopes or enrichment cycles.
